This GANE client is a small and highly successful Houston civil engineering consulting firm that is expanding their H&H services practice.
As the Lead H&H Engineer you will direct the firm’s H&H effort while providing expert-level hydrology and hydraulic modeling solutions for all types of land development and district projects in Houston and across Texas. Your scope of work will include: watershed hydrologic analyses for outfall master planning, flood control conveyance and detention facility design; H&H analyses using ArcGIS and other software; proposals, scopes of work and project cost estimates; LOMR and CLOMR FEMA applications, flood insurance studies, storm sewer modeling/design, erosion and scour analyses, and preparing drainage report documents for submission to review agencies. Responsibilities will include both design and project management.
Key Lead H&H Engineer candidate requirements:
- Current H&H projects experience in the above areas with a Texas consulting engineering firm.
- Technical proficiency in the following: HEC-RAS steady, unsteady state modeling and HEC-HMS; ARC-MAP, Civil 3D, SWMM, CLOMR/LOMR submittals, FEMA, and master drainage plans.
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with an ABET accredited university program
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas
The desired candidate must have effective communication skills, both oral and written, and have the proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients as well as representatives of local, state and federal regulatory agencies.
