This GANE client is the established Houston office of a major Texas-based civil engineering firm.
As the Project Engineer you will provide hydrologic and hydraulic modeling solutions for various public and private client projects in Texas. Responsibilities will include: watershed hydrologic analyses for outfall master planning, flood control conveyance and detention facility design; H&H analyses using ArcGIS and other proprietary software; preparing proposals, scopes of work and project cost estimates; LOMR and CLOMR FEMA applications and preparing drainage report documents for submission to review agencies.
Several years of water resources projects experience in the above areas with a Texas consulting engineering firm is mandatory. A Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited university and a Professional Engineer (P.E., Texas) license or ability to sit for P.E. in Texas within six (6) months are required.
Technical proficiency in the following is needed: HEC-RAS steady, unsteady state modeling and HEC-HMS; ARC-MAP, Civil 3D, SWMM, CLOMR/LOMR submittals, FEMA, master drainage plans for land development projects and DOT drainage studies.
The desired candidate must have effective communication skills, both oral and written, and have the proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients as well as representatives of local, state and federal regulatory agencies.
